Makiwa's life took a dark turn as his curiosity for marijuana and whisky led to a dangerous addiction. He dropped out of law school, violated relationships, and became a broke drunkard. Seeking help, he entered the Waneni Rehabilitation Centre for a 90-day recovery program. With the support of the dedicated team, Makiwa overcame cravings and learned to reframe his thoughts. He praised the team for creating a supportive environment and helping him become the best version of himself. Now back in school, he encourages others to seek help and emphasizes that addiction is a disease that requires assistance.
